Where's Everyone?

I haven't had contact with any Why Not? readers or team members. Except for Wu.
Where did everyone go?

Why Not? News

Several months ago, during the near end of last  November, I noticed that the monthly number of page views for Why Not? had gone down around 500 from October to November . It only continued to get worse, with the exception of a small spike in December. I could not find any reason for this, except when we started to have more than four members of Why Not? there were less views. I'm not going to blame the viewers of Why Not? because I want to try this first:

I'm just going to delete any author (not admin) that does not post this week. You all (except Lily[maybe]) have plenty of time to post with Spring Break and all.

So if you want to keep your authorship, get off your butt and and actually do something with your authorship. There's an entire waiting list of people who would gladly take it.
*However, if I kick anyone out of Why Not?, there's no guarantee that anyone on the waiting list will attain authorship.

Also, I'm surprised no one cares about Wendy anymore. I thought there would be a petition for N to change Wendy's password back by now.

GenderAnalyzer (somewhat Tech post)

Yesterday, social studies class was supposedly "use-your-phone-that-you-shouldn't-have-in-school-not-that-anyone-actually-cares-for-educational-purposes-and-no-Minecraft-is-not-educational" hour. Anyway, GM and I used a school laptop to blog. First we impersonated N. Then we visited I Can Write Funny, the blog. Suddenly, I remembered a text analyzer website I'd come across. I said something like, "GM, have I ever showed you that blog text analyzer that tries to figure out the author's gender?"
Anyway, we ended up analyzing this blog (results- 62% sure it's written by a woman) and then analyzed I Can Write Funny (original results- female, but quite gender neutral, results from this morning- 52% male)

Later at home, I tested other random blogs. Strange results though....
For example...
Ms. Murphy's World Explorers Blog- written by a man (78%)
Kyrrith's Fangirling by a Fangirl blog- written by a man (61%)
Theo's seemingly abandoned blog which has roughly 130 words  - "Sorry, we could not extract enough text from http://theosquared.blogspot.com/. We could only find 1 words. We need more than 300 words to analyze a web page. More text gives better result!"

Here's the link to the website. Let me know of any other weird results.

7777

I did not get 7777. However, when I logged in today, the dashboard read "7777 pageviews." This means whoever viewed the blog right before I logged on had was the 7777th viewer. I guess we'll just wait for the next one!
Wait, actually, I'm uncertain if there will be a "next one." If there is, I don't know if it will be 8888 or 10000...

Anyway, screenshot.

Speed Limit

Just a little something I found. Not in real life, unfortunately.
Also, I think it's illegal to cover speed limit signs...

Back to Normal

I found the backed up template from January! The blog is back to normal!
Hooray!

Blog Stuff Again

I tried to restore peace to the blog by making the whole template look somewhat like before, but someone undid my 5-15 minutes of work... Then I thought about the blog description. It's a little, well, non-descriptive to me. As a lover of quotes I feel it would be great to find a suitable quote to add to the beginning of the blog description, an epigraph almost.
If anyone can suggest some quotes that somewhat capture the essence of the blog, I would much appreciate it! Who knows? I might even use it. (assuming N and GM don't object)

P.S. I have this feeling that no one will reply ,something that happened with several other contest type things....

Why You DON"T Want to be a Blog Author

Many readers have asked GM, N, and I, "Can I be an author? Please?" Don't get me wrong. I enjoy having new people writing once in a while. I just don't want so many contributors we can't keep track of things. Or something like that. However, the answer from now on will be no. Well, unless it's some special case, like you won a contest or someone on the blog is indebted to you somehow. Anyway, in general, the answer is no. Seriously. I won't even bother to ask you "Are you physically able to?"

Please don't faint! Below I have listed several reasons you don't actually want to be an author on the blog. I  can probably think of more.

1. If anything strange or unexplained happens on the blog, you will be blamed. No matter how irrational it is, you will be blamed. We founders of Why Not 2000, especially GM, are generally very suspicious.

2. You will not post. It's so true. Oh sure, you'll post nonstop the first week, but soon you'll disappear amost.  A quick look at our current authors proves this. Many of our contributors no longer post. Alec, Andrew, N, I'm referring to you! Okay, maybe not N... He somewhat has legitimate excuses...

3. Authors actually have limited power. Besides post there is nothing you can do. Tsk tsk tsk. As Lily, current guest author, will probably tell you, it gets very annoying to have no control over the blog's design. Everything is done by the administrators.

4. There are better things to do! If you really want to blog, create your own blog! I promise you it is very easy. You can change the colors, the template, the name, the URL, and so on. It's a much better opportunity than blogging here! If you do make a blog, give us the link. We might share the link and get you more viewers! Hooray for you! Seriously though. Make a blog! Now. Shoo. Go. Yes, you who desperately wants to post. Uh huh. Run along now. Still aren't gone? Well, I guess you don't really want to blog then...
