Möbius Strip News Coming This Week!

Our "news" reports are finally coming! It will be called Möbius Strip News as it will deliver only one side, the interesting side, of all the local happenings. The first issue of the first volume will be published sometime this week!
Each hopefully weekly issue will feature many headlines, summaries of local events, quotes, wisdom, and advertisements unlike any you've seen before.
I'm aiming for Friday night or Saturday morning so be on the lookout for the newest possibly entertaining, possible true source of local news.

News on the News

The fake news series will most likely be on this blog, not on a separate one. (Original post here.) Why? I'm too lazy to keep up with another blog. The name of these posts will be either Möbius Strip News, Möbius News, Mushroom, News: The Place for all of Your Newsynewy by New NewsyNewsman or... Wait, that's all I've got. Comment your suggestions.
Hopefully, there will be "news" posted at least once a week starting from next week.
Hopefully.

Fake News

I'm considering making a second blog that gives fake daily or weekly news reports about events at my school. They may or may not be based on real happenings. So a bit like a local version of The Onion.
Any input, my dear few readers?

11111

Well, you missed 11111. I do get the feeling that you won't be 2222, either. (cough, cough, everyone who used to read the blog, cough)
Sorry, I asphyxiated some liquid right there.

Abandoned Projects- Poll

Like N mentioned in "Confessions of a blogger," a lot of series have died. I like to consider them abandoned, with the exception of Ask Wendy since Wendy is dead. There's a surprising number of series that were supposed to be long and lovely and whatever. Since I'm now home and seeking to write more, I'd really like to revive some abandoned projects.

Here's a list of abandoned projects started by me:

  • Big Ideas - These can be really time consuming, but I have time, at least until school begins.
  • "Cure" -Yeah, I'm not too keen on writing more cures for the so called "One Direction Infection"... Not an option because I say so.
  • Explore Tab- It's now called "What's Hot" for some reason, and contains less stuff than Explore did.
  • How to- Self explanatory title.
  • Think About It- Those are fun but take a while because they involve commentary from GM and me.
  • Technology These Days- N and I liked them, but no one else seemed to care.
Which one should I work on?
I put up a poll because we haven't had a poll in months, and also, people seem to vote on polls more often than commenting. Perhaps because it's anonymous? Hmmm... Well, vote!

(I will still post posts that are not part of the chosen series.)

Why Not Turns One... Soon-ish

Why Not 2000's first "birthday" is coming up in a little more than two weeks! We should do something to celebrate the blog.

Anyway...
I'm pretty low on ideas on how to celebrate.
Maybe a list of the best/worst posts of the year?
A new design just for the day?
New posts from everyone each day of the week leading up to the birthday?
Virtual cake (that is not a lie)?
All of them?
Bleh?

Since my fellow Why Not team members ignored my request for ideas, it's up to you possibly nonexistent blog readers who are not on the Why Not Team to give me some suggestions.
Help make Why Not 2000's first birthday memorable (preferably in a good way)!

We could try something like this...

An Explanation of GM's Blog Inactivity

You are probably not wondering why I have not posted for half of the "summer" break. But for future reference, I will still write this post.
For the first four days of "summer", I was kind of out of town. After that, for five days, I was at a college on the top of Lookout Mountain with very sexist dorms and internet, but also no device to access the internet on. After that, for another week, I was kind of out of town again. Then I went to China, where the computers there could not load Blogger. For two days after returning from China, I was too lazy to blog. Also currently, I am trying to recover from the worst return trip from anywhere, but today I decided to ignore the jet lag, insomnia, possibly injured eardrum, and the regret for not bringing the mysterious metal object back to America.
Normal blog activity begins now.

I Have Returned!

Hello, anyone who is still visiting the blog! I have returned from a three week camp at Davidson. It was lots of fun, but I didn't post at all. Three weeks is quite a dry spell for me... That's why I'm posting today!
No, not really. I'm actually posting to tell you I am taking a road trip to Alabama where I will stay for five days. That means I probably won't post for five days. Basically, I'm here to give reasons as to why I haven't posted and why I won't post. Yes, it's a bit pathetic. My first post in nearly a month, and all I have to say are excuses. Good excuses though.

Good bye for now!

Lack of Posts Again

Yeah, I posted once last week, but that's hardly regularly. I wish I could be here proclaiming that I can definitely post something fascinating every single day, but I guess I can only say the opposite. I don't think I can post much in the upcoming weeks. I've got camps to go to and books to read. I'll also be out of town for a couple weeks, and I'm not sure if I'll have internet. I don't know where N is right now. Wherever he is, he also is not posting. I actually doubt he's visited the blog in the past weeks. I was hoping for more posts about India, but oh well. GM will be going to another country very soon, and she probably hasn't recently been on the blog. I'm unsure what she's up to now.

Well, seeing that our few readers haven't been reading that often and there have been very few posts, I'm considering "resting" the blog for a while. You know, none or very little posts. Oh wait, that seems to be happening already... However, I do have some post ideas if anyone's interested. OR I can save it until near the end of summer break when we're all back home again or something.
Anyway, if anyone wants to give an opinion, please comment. That is if anyone besides me reads this post.

Discrepancies

(Since Nilairve Mula and RF have way more posts than I do, I have decided to make one of them at least every day.)

If you look under this post, you will see NV's  stats post. NV noticed a discrepancy right after posting it. You see, according to the blog stats button, Voki Wednesdays 1.5 has the most pageviews, at 92. But if you look at the first blog stats post, the screenshot says 121 views. Then if you look at the actual post, Voki Wednesdays 1.5 has 114 views.
However, you cannot un-view a post.
How did this happen?

Why Not? Events Update

A fortnight ago, the Why Not? team decided to have another Why Not? event. We came up with two ideas:
a Why Not? game or a Why Not? novel.
The Why Not? game idea has been scrapped because most people need a college degree in computer programming to make anything more than a boring simple game.
The Why Not? novel is the only idea we have now. Any other ideas for the event will be welcome.

Some Results

So, I looked through all three completed forms.
I think you people who filled out the form need to re-read the questions because some of the answers were obviously not about what the question was asking. Not all of you did that, but I'm just trying not to name any names.
Also I'd just like to tell you people who submitted a form or will submit one that if you become an admin, you will be blamed for more problems more often. If you are an author, we can't blame you for anything but bad posting.
If you become a Why Not? team member, we will not necessarily tell you who Wendy is.
If you want to change any of your answers, just contact the current members of the Why Not? team.
I'm kind of disappointed with the example posts, too.

See, I Was Right

After deleting a bunch of useless authors, the number of page views today reached 87, which is a big improvement.

Authorship

The Why Not? team is proud to present the new way of getting authors!
We have made a new form that you can fill out if you want to be an author.
This will also make choosing an author easier.
The link is in one of Nilai's posts below.

Why Not? News

Several months ago, during the near end of last  November, I noticed that the monthly number of page views for Why Not? had gone down around 500 from October to November . It only continued to get worse, with the exception of a small spike in December. I could not find any reason for this, except when we started to have more than four members of Why Not? there were less views. I'm not going to blame the viewers of Why Not? because I want to try this first:

I'm just going to delete any author (not admin) that does not post this week. You all (except Lily[maybe]) have plenty of time to post with Spring Break and all.

So if you want to keep your authorship, get off your butt and and actually do something with your authorship. There's an entire waiting list of people who would gladly take it.
*However, if I kick anyone out of Why Not?, there's no guarantee that anyone on the waiting list will attain authorship.

Also, I'm surprised no one cares about Wendy anymore. I thought there would be a petition for N to change Wendy's password back by now.
