Stupid Statistics

N: I bet you that that statistic is fake, and they cant do math. 83 plus 27 is 110 not 100.
That kind of outlines all one direction fans.

RF: I passionately dislike made up statistics (unless they're meant to be satires, of course). Of course it's fake! How can there be 110% of girls? Still, if "Niall quit 1D today," it's true many girls wouldn't care and wouldn't cry over it. Some of them are infants. Some of them are suffering from deadly diseases. Some of them have damaged tear ducts. Many have never heard of "1D."
And no, this does not count as me reblogging it.

Musical Mondays #15 - Confusing Chorus

I recently attended an event at which the song "Single Ladies" by Beyonce was played. (By played, I mean blasted from speakers at a volume that could potentially lead to the phenomenon of eardrum combustion.)
I was very confused by the lyrics in the chorus.

Here's the chorus:
Cause if you liked it then you should have put a ring on it
If you liked it then you should've put a ring on it
Don't be mad once you see that he want it
If you liked it then you should've put a ring on it

What exactly is this "it"? This pronoun lacks a clear antecedent. I would assume from the context of the song that the "it" is the woman. But one does not really put rings on women, and women are female and should be referred using feminine pronouns...One does, however, put rings on fingers! Ah-ha! But it is not common for people to go around admiring fingers.
Does "it" refer to the woman or the finger? Does the first "it" refer to the woman and the second to a finger? Is it saying that if you like a finger you should put a ring on the finger? Is it saying if you like a woman you should put a ring "on" it/her? Is it saying if you like a woman's finger you should put a ring on the woman? What? What? What?

I Have Returned!

Hello, anyone who is still visiting the blog! I have returned from a three week camp at Davidson. It was lots of fun, but I didn't post at all. Three weeks is quite a dry spell for me... That's why I'm posting today!
No, not really. I'm actually posting to tell you I am taking a road trip to Alabama where I will stay for five days. That means I probably won't post for five days. Basically, I'm here to give reasons as to why I haven't posted and why I won't post. Yes, it's a bit pathetic. My first post in nearly a month, and all I have to say are excuses. Good excuses though.

Good bye for now!

Fish

I think the the feeding the fish thing is broken because ever since the fish have been swing in black water they have been really slow in catching the fish. It took them atleast 1 min to eat 10 pieces of food.
One of the fiah was on the side of the tank where there was no fish.

HTML

Why Not 2000 I am doing this using XHTML 1.0. From now on I will try to only post in HTML. If i can try to find out how I can do jump breaks in HTML.

Lack of Posts Again

Yeah, I posted once last week, but that's hardly regularly. I wish I could be here proclaiming that I can definitely post something fascinating every single day, but I guess I can only say the opposite. I don't think I can post much in the upcoming weeks. I've got camps to go to and books to read. I'll also be out of town for a couple weeks, and I'm not sure if I'll have internet. I don't know where N is right now. Wherever he is, he also is not posting. I actually doubt he's visited the blog in the past weeks. I was hoping for more posts about India, but oh well. GM will be going to another country very soon, and she probably hasn't recently been on the blog. I'm unsure what she's up to now.

Well, seeing that our few readers haven't been reading that often and there have been very few posts, I'm considering "resting" the blog for a while. You know, none or very little posts. Oh wait, that seems to be happening already... However, I do have some post ideas if anyone's interested. OR I can save it until near the end of summer break when we're all back home again or something.
Anyway, if anyone wants to give an opinion, please comment. That is if anyone besides me reads this post.

Link Day- Summer Break 2013 (Part 1)

Summer break is upon us! Now what to do... Oh, yeah, sit in front of your computer all day! But what happens when you've visited all your favorite blogs, read too many stories, and watched enough pirated movies? Never fear, here I have a list of links to hopefully last you at least one minute!

http://www.asfailedontv.com/
A favorite of "Ming Lay." It has gifs and captions of stuff from infomercials. Honestly, I like it.

http://www.mynameispabst.com/
This blog features kids with unique names. Like Pabst, for instance. Oh, and also Oskar, Juno, Zero, and Vegas. Nice little casual reading.

http://www.rainymood.com/
Maybe you've heard of this before. It's a soundtrack of rain that's quite refreshing in the middle of summer. (I realize it's technically not summer yet, since the summer equinox isn't until June 21st.)

http://www.tony-b.org/
Little music machine to play around with. Effortless electronica!

http://www.exploratorium.edu/ronh/weight/
How much would you weigh on other planets?

More coming sometime soon, hopefully!

Lack of Posts

No one has posted in a while. The reason is probably because we're too busy enjoying summer break's lack of stuff to do. Hopefully, I will start posting regularly this week.
Here is a gif featuring a shoe.

Good bye.

Lies to Bother N

While N is in India, I have been unable to bother him. Likewise, he has been unable to bother me. Since he can't physically hurt me or yell at me right now, I will post some lies that would most likely make him miserable if they were true.

Hi, N!
Here's an update on stuff that's been happening.
  • All the certificates and trophies you were not here to receive were given to our "dear friend" Ming Lay.
  • The Algebra teacher discovered he accidentally gave you another person's grades. Your actual average is 85.
  • Your photo was put upside down into the sixth grade section of the yearbook.
  • You are being fined because your language textbook has one pencil marking on page 176.
  • "Smurphy" found your missing pencil pouch in one of her McDonald's to-go bags, but she decided to throw it away.
(Again, please note all of the above are lies. Or are they? Hmm... Yeah, they are.)
