I think the the feeding the fish thing is broken because ever since the fish have been swing in black water they have been really slow in catching the fish. It took them atleast 1 min to eat 10 pieces of food.

The reason is that there is no swarm of fish competing for food. Also the fish on the other side of the tank could be like my lampeye tetra, who likes sleeping until late-ish in the morning, and won't eat a lot of food if not fully awake. Did you happen to be feeding the fish early in the morning?
